Prism API

Check many products with the Prism API

Checking more than a few products a day? Call Prism, the research engine by Fliar BI that Evidencesway runs on, from your own code. You get the same research as plain JSON, with one key.

What the API gives you

Ask about one ingredient and one health outcome, written as a short claim such as “Melatonin improves sleep quality”. Prism answers from the same research corpus Evidencesway uses.

Not in the API. People’s reports (the doses people say they take and how it went) and Evidencesway’s verdict words, such as “Likely to work”, are made by Evidencesway itself. The API gives you the research: counts, kinds of study, findings and checked quotes.

Get a key

One account and one key open Companies Radar and Prism, both by Fliar BI.

  1. Sign in

Sign in, or create an account, at fliarbi.com/radar/login.

  2. Open the key page

Go to fliarbi.com/radar-api/developer and press Connect Radar session. In the Fliar BI dashboard, API keys opens the same page.

  3. Create a key

Give it a name. Under Access, choose All data: Radar, Prism News and Prism; a News only key does not open the research calls. Pick when it expires: 7, 30 or 90 days. Copy the key at once, because it is shown only once.

  4. Add credits and a spending limit

On the same page, buy prepaid credits and set a monthly spending limit above zero. Every research call draws from these credits. With a limit of zero, calls are refused.

Send a request

Each call is one HTTPS request with your key in a header. Answers are JSON.

Base URL
https://radar-api.fliarbi.com/prism
Your key
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY, or X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY
A call
POST /v1/<call> with a JSON body, for example POST /v1/research.evidence
Every answer
The same fields each time: ok, feature, subject, data, window, meta, and error when ok is false.
Cost
On a paid call, the X-Prism-Credits response header says how many credits it used.
Time
Reading studies takes time: the evidence calls below took 35 to 55 seconds in our tests. Give your client a timeout of a few minutes.

Calls for checking labels

Three calls cover what Evidencesway does, and a fourth tells you what each one costs. The responses are real answers recorded on 1 November 2026, trimmed to the main fields. Counts grow as the research index grows.

Evidence for an ingredient and an outcome

Use it for the core of a claim check: how much research there is, what kinds of study, and what the most relevant studies found. In Evidencesway, this is a claim card. Send claim; limit (default 16) sets how many studies are picked for reading.

  • query.lane_counts: papers on the ingredient, on the outcome, and on both together (intersection).
  • corpus_stance: for the papers on both, the kinds of paper (contribution) and how they frame their finding (sides).
  • documents: the studies picked, each with its kind (tier, such as trial or meta_analysis), its strength, what it found for the claim (stance) and a quote checked word for word (quote_verified).
  • tally: how many of the studies read support, contradict or qualify the claim; tier_weighted counts stronger kinds of study for more.
  • meta.coverage: when partial is true, part of the index was offline and counts are lower bounds.

What disagrees, and how mixed it is

Use it for a fair answer when studies disagree: it looks for studies on both sides on purpose and reads them, then adds a plain note on how to word the claim (recommendation). Send claim; limit (default 16) sets how many studies are picked.

Pricing

Prism is pay as you go, from one prepaid wallet that also pays for the other Fliar BI APIs. In the key page’s own words:

  • What your key opens: Prism API & MCP“Prepaid credits, 1–50 per call by feature; failed or empty answers free”
  • Usage & pay-as-you-go credits“One wallet pays for every API. Prism: 1–50 prepaid credits per call depending on the feature (quick counts 1, evidence reading 20, full articles 50); failed or empty answers cost nothing.” “Prepaid spending stops at your monthly limit.”
  • Spending limit“A limit of zero disables prepaid spending. No automatic recharge.”

The live price list (GET /v1/pricing, above) sets one credit at US$0.01 (₹0.84) and gives the credits for every call. The key page shows the price in your currency and the smallest top-up before you pay.
